Bishop Emmanuel Adetoyese Badejo of the Diocese of Oyo says he is concerned about the recent change of direction by the United States Government on religious persecution in Nigeria, after the U.S. State Department excluded Nigeria from its annual list of nations it considers among the world’s violators of religious freedom. Nigeria was on the list last year, and—according to Bishop Badejo—the situation in his country has not improved.
