According to the director of St. Joseph’s School at Ganj Basoda in Madhya Pradesh, a mob of between 400-500 attacked the school in retaliation for a false internet video claiming the school was forcing some Hindu students to convert to Christianity. Police promised to intercept the mob but came only after the incident was over. Christians make up less than 1 percent of a population in the area, and of the school’s 1500 students less than 1 percent are Christian.
