TX synagogue standoff ends

An FBI team on Saturday shot and killed a man who had taken hostages during a live streamed service at a Texas synagogue. During the standoff Bishop Michael F. Olson of Fort Worth made an urgent request to Catholics to pray for those involved in a hostage situation. After the hostages were released, Bishop Olson tweeted, “Thanks be to God for their safety,” and thanks the nearby Catholic parish for their aide to first responders and the families of the hostages.
