Joseph Stalin or Xi Jinping: both the same to Catholics

In 1946, with Stalin consolidating his World War II gains in Eastern Europe, he ordered the liquidation of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. In 2022, the same thing is happening in China. But the faith was illegal for nearly 300 years under the Roman Empire, and knows how to live through persecution. Indeed, the blood of the martyrs has been recognized as the seed of new Christian witness since those early centuries.
