Pope Francis says that the liturgy should not be “a battleground” for “outdated issues,” referring to the Traditional Latin Mass and as reforms restricting its use. TLM advocates, he says, “are distancing themselves from the Church, questioning the Council, the authority of the bishops … in order to preserve tradition.”
