Weigel on St. John Paul II’s diplomacy

Speaking to seminarians in Rome, Pope St. John Paul II’s official biographer said the saint would have dealt differently with the current Ukraine crisis. In pursuing diplomatic strategies that require the Vatican to avoid public condemnation of human rights violations, the Holy See risks “losing its moral authority,” Weigel said.
