U.S. births on the rise

The number of births increased in the United States for the first time in seven years, according to a new federal report.The total fertility rate was 1,663.5 births per 1,000 women, although this is still below the “replacement level, which is 2,100 births per 1,000 women. Births to teenagers were down.
