Abp. Cordileone fights back against CA’s Prop 1

California’s Proposition 1 would enfranchise abortion, with few restrictions, in the state constitution. The California Catholic Conference has urged voters to vote NO. San Francisco’s archbishop says, “[W]hen life begins is a matter of scientific fact. At the moment of fertilization, a new life is created with a unique set of DNA, so it can never be right to procure an abortion, just as it would never be right to kill a newborn baby.” ^[1]
