“Safeguards” cannot make euthanasia safe

A recent European court case concerning a Belgian case, in which the state gave a lethal injection to a depressed woman, reveals cracks in the elaborate façade of euthanasia “safeguards.” The court’s decision demonstrates that no “safeguards” can render euthanasia safe.
