President Joe Biden signed the Respect for Marriage Act into law Tuesday. The USCCB opposes the bill because it “establishes an affirmative, enforceable, comprehensive right to federal and interstate recognition of same-sex marriages but sets out religious liberty protections that are far from comprehensive, and are neither affirmative nor enforceable.” [1]
