Ignatius Kung, born in 1901 in Tangmiqiao Village, China, became a priest and suffered terribly at the hands of the communist government after 1949. Bishop Kung was put on trial in 1960 and disappeared from public view until 1985. During his years of imprisonment, he suffered the kind of inhuman living conditions and mistreatment that are common in Communist prisons. Could anyone doubt that Kung, who died in 2000, is a saint in Heaven?
