The celebration of a “Mass” by an Anglican delegation on April 18, 2023, at the Basilica of Saint John in Lateran, was due to “miscommunication.” So says the capitular vicar of the cathedral of the Diocese of Rome, Bishop Guerino Di Tora. The bishop expressed his “deep regret” that the Anglican service was held at the altar of the pope’s own cathedral.
