The Life of a Priest

Fr. Banecker was ordained five years ago – a troubled time in which to have entered the priesthood. “When priests use [their] headship for their own gain or self-aggrandizement,” he writes, “or live as bachelors rather than spouses, we become like the ‘hired man’ Jesus warns the disciples about, the one who ‘has no concern for the sheep’ (John 10:12-13).”
