The Central Committee of German Catholics (ZdK) is openly showing its true strategy in the battle for the declared goal of completely disempowering the bishops in the long term. Irme Stetter-Karp, head of ZdK, “insists” that decisions of the Synodal Way be implemented “in all German dioceses,” blatantly contradicting the Synodal Way’s statutes and the constant assurances of ZdK and the Bishops’ Conference that all Synodal Way resolutions are non-binding.
