The ideas underpinning our societal wreckage are much older than most of us realize. The blueprint for it was set centuries ago, going back to the earliest stages of the feminist movement. Feminism, going back to even the late 1700s, started with the wrong question. It didn’t ask, “How do we help women as women?” but rather asked, “How do we help women become more like men?”
