Amid increased tension with government and a surge in vandalism against Catholic churches, the Faith is stuck in a defensive position. San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone says that properly educating Catholics and organizing around critical social issues is the only way for the Church to have renewed influence on American culture.
