St. Edith Stein’s tips for educating children

Stein, canonized as St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, was a teacher from 1916 until 1933, when the Nazis banned Jews from teaching. Her philosophy on educating kids begins with Bible stories and ends with the insight that education in the faith only works “when the people who introduce the children to the mysteries are themselves permeated and their lives formed by these mysteries.”
