In Mark 3, Jesus, in a synagogue, heals a man with a withered hand, The Pharisees who watch have closed their withered minds, keeping them out of reach of Jesus’s healing. This sabbath healing is the last of five sharp clashes between Jesus and the Pharisees at the beginning of Mark’s Gospel, and they foreshadow Jesus’s martyr death. [1]
