“Prayer Is a First Resort”: An Interview with Fr. Benedict Kiely

The founder of Nasarean.org, which offers support to persecuted Christians, says that on visits to Iraq and Syria, “one is struck by the fact that the Church was born there; our roots are Semitic. If you cut, harm, or destroy the roots of the tree, it will die.” We need to pray for Christianity’s survival in the Middle East. Daily prayer for the persecuted is a duty, for life.
