William Donohue, president of The Catholic League in New York,  said with regard to leaked emails that showed anti-Catholic remarks from Clinton campaign staff that she must fire them:  “Given the latest revelations—her campaign chairman, John Podesta, admits to being actively engaged in sabotaging the Catholic Church—she cannot escape culpability any longer. She now owns this issue.”
