Some parts of the U.S. will be in total darkness when the moon passes directly in front of the sun. Among those who will be in the country to view the eclipse will be the head of the Vatican Observatory, Brother Guy Consolmagno, who is vitiating Hopkinsville, KY, site of the the eclipse’s “greatest totality.”
