Oldest Gospel commentary discovered
Long know to have existed, scholars assumed the commentary of Fortunatianus of Aquileia was lost. St. Jerome called the commentary a “pearl without price,” and that gem has now turned up copied into a work from the about year 800. Fortunatianus lived 1600 years ago.
