Cardinal Carlo Caffarra, the archbishop emeritus of Bologna and one of the original four cardinals to sign the dubia sent to Pope Francis, has died suddenly. Another of the dubia cardinals, Joachim Meisner, died in July. Both men died without receiving a reply to their questions from Pope Francis.
