A majority of people still believe in the Biblical account of the Nativity, but the numbers are dwindling. Attendance at Christmas Mass this year is expected to drop (down from 76% in 2013 to 68%), and whereas a majority of evangelical Protestants (57%) say they think it is OK for Nativity scenes to be displayed on government property, only 35% of Catholics agree.
