Sohrab Ahmari, 33, is a New York City journalist and Catholic convert. He grew up in a nominally Muslim home in Iran under an oppressive Islamic regime and had renounced all religion by his teen years. “The hardest part was believing in a personal God,” he says. “Once I believed this, my journey to Catholicism became much easier.”
