Italian media have reported allegations that disgraced Cardinal Angelo Becciu transferred several hundred thousand euros from Vatican accounts to an account in Australia during the trial of Cardinal George Pell. It is unclear to whom the money was sent, but it is suggested that the money was used to bolster the case against Pell.
