No sympathy for the Devil
Fr. Jerry Pokorsky, Catholic Culture
Monday, January 11, 2021
As we love the sinner, our religion teaches us to hate sin. That is a healthy distinction. The only being God permits us—even encourages us—to hate is the Devil. The Devil desires our eternal destruction. “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body [Jesus says] but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28)
