Benedict XVI ordered secretary to destroy his correspondence

Archbishop Georg Gänswein says, following the expressed desire of Pope Benedict, he has destroyed all the late pope’s personal correspondence. “A pity? I thought so too,” he said, “but he gave this direction and there was no way out.” Gänswein also said Benedict has left a small inheritance to five cousins.
