Catholic philosopher Josef Seifert sees a “danger of a complete collapse of the Catholic Church in many countries” unless leaders intervene. He calls on all cardinals, bishops, and Church leaders to stand up for the truth of Catholic teaching in the face of prevailing relativism and situational ethics. Seifert condemns the cardinals for their “frightening silence” on the crisis, which runs “from the top of the Church down.”
