Antisemitism is usually a sign of social and cultural rot, and this latest outbreak of an ancient social disease is no exception. If divine law and human reason condemn hatred of anyone who is “Other” simply because of who he or she is, then even more so do they condemn the irrational and too-often lethal hatred of the people to whom God first made his promises.
