Synodality means journeying together as the People of God and, we are told, is a constitutive element of the Church. Put that way, it seems fairly harmless – even noble. More likely, however, and as many have said, synodality poses a great danger to the Church and the integrity of her teaching, perhaps the greatest danger she has ever faced, coming out of Rome anyway.
