“Reset Saturday” at the Vatican

On the feast of St. Blaise, the Vatican cleared its collective throat and made attempts to put things right on separate fronts, all on the same day. Call it “Reset Saturday.” Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández was forced to back away from Fiducia supplicans by Cardinal Fridolin Ambongo on behalf of the African bishops. Pope Francis also took a stab at resetting relations with Jews. And it may be that this year’s Synod on Synodality got reset as well.
