In the past, no one thought of challenging “for the good of mankind” as excluding women. However, the feminist movement drew heightened sensitivity to what activists considered the “patriarchal” nature of language. But now there is pushback, Just recently, Argentina’s government, led by recently elected President Javier Milei banned inclusive language in all areas of national public administration.
