The rise of “normophobia”

It’s the contemporary consensus that makes an enemy of the unchosen, the normal, and the given. We should dismiss its self-justifications about inclusion, marginalization, and so on that lubricate its spread. Let’s call it what it is: bigotry, a fear of the normal. In reasserting the necessity of norms, we are not attacking the most vulnerable. We are defending them. To impose normophobia on babies and kids is to sacrifice their needs for the sake of wayward desires. We must lift this burden from their little shoulders.
