Britain and Argentina reconciled AFP/France 24 Friday, November 1, 2019 Argentine and British bishops exchanged statuettes of the Virgin Mary in a powerful sign of reconciliation 37 years after the Falklands War between the two nations, in a ceremony on Wednesday led by Pope Francis. The original statue of the Virgin, abandoned by Argentine troops and taken back to England, was given back by the Brits.
