Mother Cabrini was booked on Titanic

Frances Xavier Cabrini was an intrepid traveler who would eventually make 24 transatlantic crossings to establish her foundation, hospitals and orphanages, yet she was not a fan of ocean voyages since she had almost drowned as a youngster. On one of those trips, she was scheduled to stop in England, and her sisters there had booked her return to New York on the ill-fated RMS Titanic. Providentially, she decided to skip England and return to the U.S. from Naples.
