John Chrysostom, born in Antioch in around 349 AD, was a prominent early Church Father known for his eloquent preaching and public speaking, earning him the nickname "Chrysostomos" meaning "golden-mouthed." He served as Archbishop of Constantinople, where his reforms and sermons against abuses of authority led to his eventual exile and death in 407 AD.
